Lillian Ciardelli, ACAAB

Behave Atlanta LLC

Lillian graduated from Emory with a BA in Psychology in 2010, and Hunter College in 2016 with an MA in Animal Behavior & Conservation. Early in her career, Lillian divided her time between animal research and hands on animal care- working, volunteering, and interning both in the US and internationally. She found that behavior consulting was the best way to share her love of behavioral science and have a direct impact on individual animal welfare. Lillian became an ACAAB in 2018 and started a consulting & training business (Behave Atlanta LLC) with trainer Amy Campbell. When Lillian isn’t thinking about animals, she is photographing or painting them.

Nutz About Mutz

I have a masters degree in animals and public policy, with a focus in animal behavior from the Center for Animals and Public Policy program at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. I am also a certified behavior consultant canine – knowledge assessed (CBCC-KA) and I am a fear free certified professional trainer (FFCPT). I have been training professionally for more than 16 years and focusing on behavior for about 12 years. After earning my masters degree, I was the behavior manager of two small humane societies – one in Flagstaff, AZ and another in Santa Maria, CA. I then went on to hold the position of Head Training Instructor/Department Chair of the Academy of Pet Careers (APC), a small trade school located outside St. Louis, MO. At APC, I trained aspiring trainers to be professional trainers. I also taught a weekly behavior class to students from the training school as well as the grooming and vet assistant programs. I also held several day-long seminars for local shelter/rescue staff and volunteers and animal control employees with a focus on recognizing canine body language and behavior, and how to safely handle dogs. At the time of my employ, the Academy of Pet Careers was the only full time, hands-on training school in the country committed to a force free philosophy. After earning my ACAAB in 2021, I left APC in order to return to private practice full time.
